Conor McGregor has announced his run for the 2025 Irish Presidential Election. Since late 2023 Conor has become outspoken about the political situation in Ireland, and is representing Irish Nationalists unlike any other person could. But, since he has started publicly question those in political power: The Gardai Siochana (Irish police) have opened an investigation into Conor. Since the investigation was opened: Conor was subsequently involved in a civil case dating back to 2018, which many people familiar with the detail of are surprised he lost. Since then: state-funded media organisations and NGOs have been waging a war of defamation on Conor McGregor in very well-organised attempts to damage his reputation.
