Concerns Over New Speed Limit Regulations
This week will see significant changes to the speed limits on Irish roads, in an effort to improve road safety.
From February 7th, the speed limit on national secondary roads will be reduced from 100km/h to 80km/h; and from 80km/h to 60km/h on local roads; while the speed limit in built-up areas, such as urban cores, town centres, and housing estates will be reduced from 50km/h to 30km/h.
However, there are those who share concerns over the new speed limit regulations, and it’s not just regular drivers.
To discuss this further, Alan Morrissey was joined in-studio by driving instructor, Chris Curran of Chris Curran Coaching in Ennis.
