Deposit Recycling Scheme

Today I talk about the new initiative launched by The Minister of State with responsibility for Communications and Circular Economy, Ossian Smyth of the Green Party: The Deposit Return Scheme. Get ready for more Green plans to make everyone’s lives that much more annoying! From February this year we will all have to pay a deposit on our bottles and cans, and bring them back to the shops (uncrushed, undamaged!) to get our money back.
Another Green initiative and yet more burden placed on an ever weary public. So let’s dive in and see what it’s really all about!
