Discovering Europe’s Underwater Village
In this video, I explored Ballinahown. A village in Wicklow Ireland that was fully submerged in the 1940s to make way for Ireland’s biggest hydroelectric plant. Many families lost their homes and farmers lost their jobs. In this video I found out why this happened, what happened to the families and the mysteries surrounding it all. Over 5000 acres of Irish countryside gone within 3 years never to be seen again.
