Eamon Farrell, father of Colin Farrell, remembered for ‘incredible’ generosity at funeral
The funeral of Eamon Farrell, the father of actor Colin Farrell, has heard he was a generous man who was “one of Dublin’s great sons”. Mr Farrell, who was in his 80s, died in Beaumont Hospital in Dublin on Wednesday surrounded by his family. The former Shamrock Rovers footballer, who died following a long illness, is survived by his wife Eileen, his children Eamon, Catherine, Claudine and Colin and their mother Rita.
