ENOCH BURKE defies court order, returns to school, faces further fines and prison time

Enoch Burke has returned to Wilson’s Hospital School in Westmeath. He had previously been jailed for contempt of court for not following a court order directing him to stay away from the school. He has spent more than 500 days in Mountjoy Prison, Dublin since September 2022. Mr Justice David Nolan has indicated that he would impose a daily fine of €1,400 if he breached the court order by returning to the school when it reopened after the Christmas holidays.
