The problem with Direct Provision isn’t just that the system is a disaster. It’s that 90% of applicants are not asylum seekers at all. Now, the government’s new plan for housing immigrants will make an already crippling housing crisis even worse, and allow thousands of migrants to bring their families here with a built-in right to housing and more at the taxpayer’s expense.
