A brutal cold snap has engulfed Ireland, with conditions worsening this Sunday morning. Met Eireann had issued several weather warnings in advance of “significant” snowfall and sub-zero temperatures. There are Status Orange alerts in place for parts of the country, with people urged to remain vigilant, while other counties contend with Status Yellow alerts ahead of a nationwide warning coming this evening.
