IRELAND – MAN DEAD AFTER HORRIFIC STABBING IN CORK.
A man has died after a horrific stabbing incident in Youghal, Co Cork.
The victim, 31, was discovered with catastrophic stab injuries on the Main Street of Youghal following a suspected row shortly after 10pm on Monday night.
Gardaí and emergency services rushed to the scene and paramedics worked on the man on the ground before moving him to an ambulance. He was rushed to Cork University Hospital, where he has since been declared dead.
The scene remains sealed off on Tuesday morning as Garda forensic officers comb the area.
Meanwhile, a 29-year-old man has been arrested over the incident. Gardaí are set to await the results of a post-mortem examination but are expected to launch a murder investigation.
