In a plot twist worthy of any Agatha Christie novel , the trial of Child killer Axel Rudakubana was halted before it even had a chance to begin. To the surprise of everyone involved ( it seems ) he pleaded guilty to all charges. Is this turn of events in some ways ‘ convenient ‘ for the powers that be ?
