Spanish city, Valladolid, commemorates Irish Red Hugh O’Donnell

Amazing Video from the Irish Times (Ronan McGreevy and Enda O´Dowd), from September 2024, in which the Hispano-Irish Association with the collaboration of the Valladolid City Council, and the Red Hugh O’Donnell Society of Donegal organize important events to recover our common history and our Brotherhood.
The common history between Spain and Ireland comes from time immemorial, from the Milesians whose King (Mile de Spain) and other descendants of Breogan from Coruña left for the Emerald Isle according to the legendary story now ratified by DNA studies in the United States . There have been many historical moments that have fostered the Brotherhood of the Spanish with the Irish.

Red Hugh O’Donnell and Hugh O’Neill led that revolt against the English. And after the battle of Kinsale, Red HUgh decides to embark and go to Spain, to its capital Valladolid, to discuss with Philip III the sending of military aid.

iMPRESIONANTE Video del Irish Times (Ronan Mc Greevy y Enda O´Dowd, de Septiembre 2024, en el que la Asociación Hispano-Irish con la colaboración del Ayuntamiento de Valladolid, y la Red Hugh O´Donnell Society de Donegal organizan eventos para recuperar nuestra historia común y nuestra Hermandad.
La historia común entre España e Irlanda abarca desde tiempos inmemoriables, desde los Milesios cuyo Rey (Mile de Spain) y demás descendientes de Breogan desde la Coruña partieron hacia la Isla Esmeralda según la historia legendaria ahora ratificada por los estudios de ADN en los Estados Unidos. .. Ha habido muchos momentos históricos que han fomentado la Hermandad de los españoles con los Irlandeses.
Y un momento clave fue la Guerra de los 9 Años entre la Alianza de los Líderes Católicos Irlandeses con España frente a la Invasión Inglesa de Irlanda.
Red Hugh O´Donnell y Hugh O´Neill encabezaban esa revuelta con tra los ingleses. Y tras la batalla de Kinsale, Red HUgh decide embarcarse e ir a España, a su Capital Valladolid, para tratar con Felipe III el envío de las ayuda militar.
Corría 1602, 10 de Septiembre y el gran líder muere de una enfermedad natural o del envenenamiento por parte de un espía inglés que se encontraba en esas fechas en Simancas y que fue interrogado según demuestran los documentos de Simancas..
