Taoiseach Micheál Martin defends European democracy after Vance comments
Taoiseach Mícheál Martin has said that he disagrees with US Vice President JD Vance’s assessment of European democracy. Speaking at the Munich Security Conference, Mr Vance alluded to US President Donald Trump as “the new sheriff in town” and was critical of a number of European policies. “Today he laid out his stall in respect of his perspective.
