1)The most searched person in Ireland on Google in 2024 was Kate Middleton, who announced earlier this year that she had been receiving treatment for cancer after undergoing “major abdominal surgery”. 2)In Ireland, with a general election incoming, the question ‘How to register to vote?’ was the most searched ‘How To’ question and ‘What is the referendum about?’ featured on the ‘What is’ list. 3)The Euros 2024 was the overall most searched term on Google in Ireland in 2024. 4)The US presidential elections also drew considerable traffic with ‘US Election’ being the second most searched term overall. Donald Trump was the second most searched person in Ireland, followed by Kamala Harris in seventh and Joe Biden in eighth. 5)The Olympics also had an impact on the most searched people list, in a record year for the Irish Team as two of Ireland’s medalists featured on the list.
